În agenda ediției a opta a Forumului Mass-Media din Republica Moldova, care va avea loc pe 4 și 5 decembrie 2023 la Chișinău, sunt incluse mai multe dezbateri, ateliere și evenimente speciale. Piața media din Moldova: 2023 vs 2022; Încrederea în presă: ce-am avut și ce-am pierdut?; Cum dezinformarea viciază democrația – acestea sunt temele celor trei dezbateri din prima și a doua zi a Forumului.

Consiliul de Presă anunță înregistrarea participanților la ediția a opta a Forumului Mass-Media din Republica Moldova care se va desfășura pe 4 și 5 decembrie 2023 la Chișinău. Înregistrarea are loc pe platforma online Mediaforum.md și va continua până pe 25 noiembrie 2023. Forumul Mass-Media este convocat anual pentru a dezbate problemele comunității jurnalistice moldovenești și a promova soluții pentru consolidarea independenței editoriale și a calității mass-mediei.

The authorities recognize the importance of well-documented investigative media reports for initiating controls and criminal cases. Investigations by journalists are set as one of the outcome indicators for revealing the actual beneficiaries of illegal concessions, privatizations and public procurements in the National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2017-2020. However, experts note low effectiveness of controls and a low number of sanctions applied to people reported by journalists in investigations. These and other relevant findings are contained in the study "Authorities’ Reactions to Investigative Media Reports on Integrity and Corruption," conducted by the Association of Independent Press (API) and Transparency International (TI)–Moldova, presented publicly at a roundtable on Wednesday 1 November 2023.

More than 35 journalists, freelancers, civic activists and experts from both sides of Nistru River met in Chișinău, where they discussed ways to collaborate on media coverage of gender and conflict-sensitive issues, building trust among people, contributing to peace building and social cohesion. The discussion forum "Peace and Social Cohesion on Both Banks of Nistru River: Exchange of Views for Confidence Building," was held by the Association of Independent Press (API) on 26 October 2023 under the project "Building Sustainable and Inclusive Peace, Strengthening Confidence and Social Cohesion on Both Banks of Nistru River," supported by the UN Human Rights Office, UNDP, and UN Women.

Более 35 журналистов, фрилансеров, гражданских активистов и экспертов с обоих берегов Днестра собрались в Кишиневе и обсудили способы сотрудничества для освещения гендерно- и конфликтно-чувствительной тематики, повышения доверия, содействия укреплению мира и социальной сплоченности. Дискуссионный форум «Мир и социальная сплоченность на обоих берегах Днестра: обмен мнениями для укрепления доверия» проведен Ассоциацией независимой прессы (API) 26 октября 2023 года в рамках проекта «Построение устойчивого и инклюзивного мира, укрепление доверия и социальной сплоченности на обоих берегах Днестра», реализуемого при поддержке Офиса ООН по правам человека, ПРООН и ООН-Женщины.

​The eighth edition of the Media Forum of the Republic of Moldova will take place on 4 and 5 December 2023 in Chișinău. The Forum is convened annually under the aegis of the Press Council to debate the problems of the Moldovan journalistic community and identify and promote solutions to strengthen editorial independence and sustainability of quality media in our country. Registration for the Forum will be open from 6 November 2023 on the platform Mediaforum.md.

In August and September 2023, the number of journalistic materials on corruption in education, health, social assistance and the agri-food sector increased significantly compared to June-July. Likewise, the share of own media products compared to those taken over is higher, and so is the number of stories reported on different online platforms. However, the geographical coverage of corruption remains limited and the percentage of informative material far exceeds that of analytical material, including investigations. These are some of the conclusions of the second report on media monitoring in the Republic of Moldova, presented by the Association of Independent Press (API) at a Press Club held on 20 October 2023 in partnership with the Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJM).

Top Moldovan media pay insufficient attention to corruption coverage in some areas of public interest. Editors have serious shortcomings when planning stories on corruption; there is concern about the large number of stories taken over versus one’s own material; and the quality of published material is average and below average. These are some of the findings of the first monitoring report, presented by the Association of Independent Press (API) at a Press Club held on 30 August 2023 in partnership with the Centre for Investigative Journalism (CIJM).

Hotărârea Parlamentului Republicii Moldova pentru aprobarea Programului național de dezvoltare a mass-mediei pentru anii 2023-2026 și a Planului de acțiuni privind implementarea acestuia a fost votată vineri, 7 iulie, de 55 deputați ai majorității parlamentare. Proiectele au fost elaborate în cadrul unui grup de lucru, coordonat de Asociația Presei Independente (API).

Tradițional, Asociația Presei Independente (API) desfășoară anual concursurile profesionale interne între redacțiile și jurnaliștii membri API. La Adunarea Generală care a avut loc joi, 29 iunie 2023, au fost anunțați câștigătorii concursurilor pentru anul 2022 și au fost oferite 21 de premii la șapte categorii de concurs, inclusiv două categorii noi: Cea mai bună reflectare a războiului Rusiei împotriva Ucrainei și Premiul pentru cel mai bun și divers conținut video.

Pe 16 mai 2023, la Chișinău a avut loc prezentarea „Cartea Neagră: investigații jurnalistice în format video”, organizată de Asociația Presei Independente (API) și Biroul pentru România și Republica Moldova al Fundației Friedrich Naumann pentru Libertate (Germania) în parteneriat cu Bestseller.md. La eveniment au participat autorii investigațiilor, alți jurnaliști și experți media, dar și reprezentanți ai Ministerului Finanțelor, Agenției Achiziții Publice, Centrului Național Anticorupție, Curții de Conturi, Procuraturii Anticorupție, Comisiei parlamentare de control a finanțelor publice, Agenției Moldsilva.
