Marți, 28 ianuarie 2020, Judecătoria Soroca a respins ca neîntemeiată cererea de chemare în judecată depusă de jurnalistul Vadim Șterbate împotriva primarului și Primăriei municipiului Soroca cu privire la constatarea încălcării dreptului de acces la informația de interes public. Hotărârea primei instanțe va fi contestată la Curtea de Apel Bălți.

At the beginning of the year, the Association of Independent Press (API) launched the brochure “The Alphabet Book of Pro-Kremlin Disinformation,” in Romanian and Russian, adapted from the model of a European publication with the same name. The Alphabet Book describes the most frequently encountered fake and distorted statements of pro-Kremlin propaganda, used to manipulate public opinion, from A to Z.

The Association of Independent Press (API) launched a new, improved and modernized version of the anticorruption portal MoldovaCurata.md in the first days of 2020. This online platform promotes integrity in public service and monitors the work of the National Integrity Authority (NIA). Upon launching the new version of the website, the MoldovaCurata.md team proposes several new stories and investigative reports about the assets and interests of persons holding public offices, including of President Igor Dodon.
