Asociația Presei Independente (API) a desemnat câștigătorii concursului național pentru elevi și eleve „Avem drepturi, dar cum le apărăm?”. La concurs și-au prezentat lucrările 85 de concurenți, iar 12 câștigători vor fi premiați cu diplome și premii.

The Independent Press Association (API) is launching the national competition "We have rights, but how do we defend them?", intended for students in grades VII-XII from gymnasiums and high schools in the country, who will submit texts, images and video clips promoting human rights and fair and equally accessible justice for all citizens. The contest runs from June 1 to July 15, 2022 and has three categories: texts; images; clips.

It is a tradition of the Independent Press Association (API) to annually hold professional contests between media institutions and staff members of the association's member editorial offices. Reporters, investigative journalists, but also managers, photojournalists, designers and layouters from all API member newsrooms annually submit their files to this competition. On Friday, May 20, 2022, API named and awarded 23 winners in the seven categories of the contest for the year 2021.

During a festive event, the Independent Press Association (API) presented the "Tudor Iașcenco Award" 2022 to the team of journalists Viorica Tătaru and Andrei Captarenco for courage and dignity in carrying out their journalistic mission, especially in war conditions. The award in memory of the well-known journalist Tudor Iașcenco, the director of the regional newspaper "Cuvântul", one of the founders and the first president of the API, is awarded starting in 2021.
