Non-governmental media organizations condemn the language used by the leader of "Our Party", Renato Usatii, in relation to journalist Mariana Rață. On May 5, 2021, Renato Usatii showed inappropriate behavior towards the moderator of the show "Black Box". More specifically, in response to questions asked by journalist Mariana Rață, the politician made inappropriate accusations and expressions against the moderator, which offend the honour and dignity of the person and contravene the generally accepted rules of conduct in a democratic society. The signatory organisations express their indignation at this inappropriate behaviour, pointing out that this is not the first time that the politician has displayed an unacceptable attitude towards the press. We ask the politician Renato Usatii to publicly apologise to the journalist TV8 Mariana Rață and to adopt a decent language and behaviour, refraining in the future from showing any form of intolerance towards journalists and media institutions.
