Independent Media and Resilience for Informed Citizens
Implementation Period: August 1, 2025 – January 31, 2026
Financing organization: European Union/People in Need Moldova
Objective: The project aims to strengthen the advocacy capacities of the Association of Independent Press (API) and to contribute to the development of the and digital security abilities of the media to respond effectively to the evolving challenges and needs of the independent media in the Republic of Moldova.
1. Strengthening the API team’s advocacy skills to improve the operating conditions of independent media in the Republic of Moldova by enriching the 2025 Mass Media Forum agenda with topics of high interest to newsrooms and journalists, within the API Brunch.
2. Enhancing the capacities of independent media in the field of digital security.
1. Organizing an API Brunch session with the participation of the representatives of the media outlets to discuss their proposals for the agenda of the 2025 edition of the Media Forum of the Republic of Moldova.
2. A training and consultancy program in the field of digital security and information integrity, which will provide specialized consultancy to independent media outlets upon request.
